Ngo Cuong graduated from the Hanoi Fine Art University in 2003. His currently featured works capture the beauty and essence of the female figure. He combines elegant and delicate facial features with strong brush strokes, creating music and movement in each painting.
Cuong enjoys painting a wide variety of subjects including children and his paintings often reflect their pure and innocent lives in a world which, for them, is not quite as simple as it may seem. Honors include Nokia Awards in 1999, 2000 and 2001; Student Exhibition awards in 1998 and 2000; and the "Young Eyes" Exhibition award (French Embassy) in 2001.
"When inspiration overwhelmed me, I took to the brush and paint. The vision of Vietnamese girls in traditional long dress is so delicate and charming. I hope to be able to express such elegance on the surface of my canvas." Ngo Hung Cuong
