Bui Huu Hung is a well-respected lacquer artist from Vietnam famous for his historically inspired figurative paintings. His lacquer paintings feature many layers of intricate design and almost always include silver and gold-leaf. Bui Huu Hung's works are varied but center around a common theme of recollection. He believes that new events, impressions and knowledge are built upon life's historical foundations.
