Doan Thuy Hanh (born Vietnam, 1974) graduated from the Hanoi Fine Art University with a specialty in lacquer painting at the age of 24. As one of very few contemporary female lacquer artists, she is widely acclaimed for her amazing ability to capture beauty and emotion in the faces of children. Her paintings, recently exhibited in Vietnam, Singapore and Japan, remind viewers of the innocence and vulnerability of youth.
