Le Thiet Cuong - Previous Sales

Le Thiet Cuong is an accomplished Vietnamese artist, sculptor, painter and photographer. He attended the Vietnam State Film College from 1985 - 1990 and graduated with a degree in set design and animation. He began to study Tay Tang Buddhism (a Tibetan sect) after his graduation and his meditation and devotion to these studies profoundly influenced his art. Cuong’s paintings are typically graphic with a seemingly simplistic style infused with a sense of humor. His paintings are often based on three basic shapes, the square, circle and triangle and the contrasting co-relations between the objects. “Beauty is balancing instability, harmony, contradiction, symmetry and asymmetry.”
