Vu Dinh Tuan's masterpieces are a combination of printmaking enhanced with delicately applied watercolor paints on silk. Tuan’s exquisite paintings mesmerize viewers with his use of vibrant colors and a myriad of unexpected detail. He transforms traditional icons such as oil lamps, hair combs, flowers and fish into contemporary language. His stylized faces rendered with contrasting animate and inanimate objects verge on surrealism while metamorphosing into vividly hued surrealistic animals and objects.
